Dark Mission: The Secret History of NASA by Richard C. Hoagland Average Rating: "Dark Mission by Richard C. Hoagland
Book Review by Dr. Ali Fant, WB5WAF, 12DE2007
This review is from the perspective of a former NASA Manned Spaceflight Controller, so it is more technical than expository. I first encountered Hoagland's claims through the NASA Technical Alert Briefing viewed by many controllers at the Johnson Space Center in 1989-90, found his claims creditable, and then discovered the briefing tape "disappeared" from the closed JSC Technical Library - from both the open card catalog and the closed shelf listing catalog. ..."
Behold a Pale Horse by William Cooper Average Rating: "Behold a Pale Horse is definitely not a book to curl up on the couch with on a Sunday afternoon. The topics William Cooper discusses will very likely keep you reading late into the night. There are two types of people in the world: those who want to know who exactly is controlling whom, and those who are more comfortable taking things at face value. ..."
Witness to Roswell: Unmasking the 60-Year Cover-Up by Thomas J. Carey Average Rating: "Recently, two mile wide UFOs were sighted over the English Channel by a reputable, seasoned pilot, his copilot and several of their passengers. News of this potentially earth-shaking event was relegated to mili-second sound bytes on the majority of American news networks: and usually accompanied with a snide, derisive, condescending tone as if the pilot and passengers were Loony Tunes. ..."
Interdimensional Universe: The New Science of UFOs, Paranormal Phenomena and Otherdimensional Beings by Philip Imbrogno Average Rating: Over the course of his thirty years of investigation into UFOs, including his own field research, photographic evidence, and meticulously compiled case studies, Philip Imbrogno has provided fascinating new insight into paranormal phenomena. In this book, he reveals for the first time the detailed experiences of prominent paranormal experts as well as his own firsthand experiences. ...
The Gods of Eden by William Bramley Average Rating: "Bramley contends in his book, The Gods of Eden, that aliens, via their elite and ultra-secret Brotherhood organizations, are the source of all human conflict. If one really thinks about this, it sounds suspiciously like that old refrain children use when they have done something bad- "the devil made me do it!". ..."
Exempt from Disclosure: The Black World of UFOs: WP Vaults & Roswell, Site 51, Los Alamos, Rev 2008 by Robert M. Collins Average Rating: "The title is telling for this amazing revelation of detailed records of our historical involvement in the crash recovery and extraterrestrial biological entity interaction program. The author is Robert Collins, a retired Air Force intelligence officer formerly with the Foreign Technology Division. Included are intimate insights into the activities of Angleton, Allen Dulles, Richard Helms, and Richard Doty, one of the key contributors, as an Air Force Counterintelligence agent telling his story. ..."
Alien Agenda: Investigating the Extraterrestrial Presence Among Us by Jim Marrs Average Rating: "Jim Marrs has produced an excellent overview of the UFO literature and history, from its possible origins in folk/fairy tales and biblical passages to its current manifestations in the form of crop circles, animal mutilations, and alien abductions. Even though the author does believe that UFOs are "real," I feel that he is very objective in his writing (which is rare for a journalist such as himself). ..."
Captured! The Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience: The True Story of the World's First Documented Alien Abduction by Stanton T. Friedman Average Rating: "Having read other works by Stanton Friedman, I had an idea as to what to expect when I started reading this book. I was definitely not disappointed.
Before reading Captured! - the Betty and Barney Hill UFO Experience: The True Story of the World's First Documented Alien Abduction, I was familiar with the basics of the Hill sighting/abduction case, general background information, the major sighting/abduction experience and the star map drawn by Betty. ..."
Invisible Residents: The Reality of Underwater UFOs by Ivan T. Sanderson Average Rating: "I picked this book up after a show on some channel or other whetted my appetite for the mystery that this book covers.
What I found was a study in how not to write a book. The author is long winded. He constructs sentances that take the reader through a literary maze that leaves them wondering what it was that originally inspired the subject in the first place.
He doesnt just list accounts of various sightings and the situations involved. But rather informs the reader, at every opportunity, about the rigors involved in stating them.He elaborates, he pads.He puts in information that makes one wonder what it is he's trying to prove.
Its unfortunate...Its a fascinating subject. It would be nice if the author looked up the word "concise", as this text is in desperate need of this tactic in writting. What would be an otherwise interesting subject is obscured by the smokescreen of the authors need to sound convincing by
creating a book that takes the long way around every point he's trying to make. ..."
