Closer to the Light

"Not to repeat what several others have mentioned here in these well written reviews, but this is a wonderful book.The most notable element I see in this book is that children do not pass ALONE. There is always a loving presence - someone that goes with the child - and takes away their fears and eases the transition. There was one story about a young girl (age 7) who tried to kill herself. She'd been the victim of horrible child abuse and chose suicide as the only way out. She left her body and found herself surrounded by "a bubble of love and life". She was shown a tree - encased in ice and snow - and told she was in the winter of her life now, but that summer was coming and much joy was ahead of her in life. She was 47 when interviewed for this book and her adult life had been one of stability, joy and much peace.The other good reason to buy this book is because on page 147 is "the rest of the story" about the 1986 bombing of the elementary school in Cokeville, Wyoming.Many of the children who were there when the bomb went off (they'd all been stuffed into one classroom by David Young, the bomber) told of angelic beings that gave them very specific instructions as to where to go to be safe.Not one or two, but many children talked about the angels, or "nice ladies who were all lit up" and voices - all giving them clear direction.And by the way, only David Young died when that bomb went off. This is a well written, informative, enlightening and good-news book."

"I first read Initiation 25 years ago, in all that time, I have never found a book that more clearly explains the history and purpose of human lives. Haich provides detailed information about the underlying spiritual reasons for details of human history and writes a fascinating account of what we are experiencing now, why and what is ahead. In 25 years, I have never found anything to contradict what she wrote so many years ago.
I re-read this book almost every other year, wrote a play from it and consider it the touchstone of my life.

In this book, Dianne Arcangel reveals the results of her five-year international survival study by using real stories from real people as she catagorizes the data. Both the stories and the data are rather amazing. If that was all the book was about, it would be well worth reading, but it isn't. Also fascinating to read about is her participation in the Afterlife Watching experiments involving mediumship research. Another captivating section of the book is her private discernment(reading) with well known medium George Anderson.
Even if you are a sceptic, read this book. It may or may not change your opinion, but you will be better informed."

Children's Past Lives: How Past Life Memories Affect Your Child

"Carol Bowman begins by relating the experiences she had with her own young son, who was hysterically afraid of loud noises, to introduce the reader to typical experiences that can happen before children are born, but to which they are reacting in this life.The primary focus of this book is on helping children to overcome their phobias, especially when traditional psychotherapy fails to uncover a cause or solution. The book is aimed both toward parents of children with phobias, and also just toward parents generally.The only reason I am giving the book four stars, instead of five, is that I was already a believer in reincarnation and was looking for a book relating many, many cases of reincarnation. While the book does present a reasonable number of cases, these are not the bookýs primary focus. The primary focus is toward parents who may never before have considered the possiblility of reincarnation. The book spends a great deal of time discussing research by other eminent researchers (an EXCELLENT summary, by the way, for further reading), and giving guidelines toward how to tell the difference between which memories may be from past lives, vs. made-up fanatasies on the part of the child. If you are a parent, and your child has any unexplained exceptional talents, odd behaviors, or phobias, this book is for you. If, like me, you already believe in reincarnation, and you are looking for more actual cases to read about, I suggest you skip this book and go directly to Carolýs second book, ýReturn From Heaven,ý which is even better than this excellent book (and also includes her experiences with her own children).Carol is perhaps the worldýs current leading expert on this subject.Anyone looking for this book on the British Amazon site, and finding limited availability, will find the book READILY available from the American site."

The Light Beyond

"Another excellent book by Dr. Moody on NDEs. This book was a fascinating read, as Dr. Moody really explored and explained the entire phenomena of Near Death Experiences - from children, to combat veterans, as well as why it is NOT a mental illness. He also introduced NDE researchers from across the country, what kind of research they are doing as well as providing very detailed NDE experiences of these researchers. The book also contained an incredible variety of NDE examples from people who have "died" and have come back. Once again, the timely messages of love come through from those who have experienced an NDE and Dr. Moody makes a great case for life after death. This is the fifth book on NDEs that I have read and I have completely changed my attitude towards death and the life after. The fear is no longer there.What I continue to find most fascinating is the way in which people change for the better after having an NDE. Their "new" outlook and attitude on life is amazing and transforming.This book will comfort those who have lost a loved one and it will also explain many aspects of the NDE. I found this book to be an enjoyable read and I did not want to put the book down. I HIGHLY recommend this book."
