Science and Art of the Pendulum: A Complete Course in Radiesthesia by Gabriele Blackburn Average Rating: This course emphasizes the practical use of the pendulum in maintaining a state of health by determining the underlying causes of disease. The ancient art of the pendulum, now called Radiesthesia, or Psionic healing, opens many new fields of research, and when learned correctly can be an invaluable source of self-help. The proper use of the pendulum can determine many conditions in the body which no other tests will show, for example, the amount of pollution caused by our environment. The pendulum can guide one to lessen or eliminate states of imbalance, using natural, herbal or homeopathic remedies. With Radiesthesia the pendulist can determine the need for vitamins, minerals, and supplements on a daily basis; also which remedies and dosage to use when ill. Through the author's psychic investigations into the conditions of the etheric body, she has developed new methods of using the pendulum. Insights into the principles of healing are pointed out in diagrams and shared. In this course she teaches the meaning, potential, and varied uses of color healing. Also included is how to test and treat each of the chakras, or nerve centers, for balancing the vital energy flow. The pendulist can measure predispositions, thereby having a unique tool to maintain a state of health. The mysterious art of "Broadcasting" healing remedies is also gone into very thoroughly. This course is both for the beginner, the professional healer, and anyone who is interested in broadening their understanding of healing, and the use of the pendulum. Zolar's Magick of Color: Use the Power of Color to Transform Your Luck, Prosperity, or Romance by Zolar Entertainment Average Rating: "This book was my first introduction to Zolar. I was attracted to the straight-forward language and practical applications contained within this book when I checked it out at the library for the first time and went back for it on a few more occasions before finally buying it last year. That same down-to-earth tone is found in all of Zolar's writings, although some of his early work originally released in the 60s is a little too sexist for my taste (in It's all in the Stars, women are most often characterized but their potential as home-makes and men as the sole bread-earners just to give you an idea) but you won't find that here. A must have for anyone interested in metaphysics and color magic." Publisher: Fireside | More reviews: amazon.com

Auras 101: A Basic Study of Human Auras and the Techniques to See Them (Living Rainbows Books) by Garbriel Hudson Bain Average Rating: "This book teaches the essence of aura energy when viewed from the perspective of everyday aura energy and not so much the leaning to health. As with each level of aura energy the astral layers attached to each level are the communicators. Through seeing the astral we come into contact with inner sight, smell, taste, sound, and feeling. This author is one good expert on this subject as his 25 years of aura and metaphysical study show in this book. A different and expertly explained read." Heal Your Aura: Finding True Love by Generating a Positive Energy Field by Macfarlane Average Rating: "I began this book with a little basic and intuitive understanding of the nature of auras and chakras. My understanding has been based on personal experiences, friend's experiences, and other references. Although I know admittedly little on this topic, it was painfully clear the author knew even less. She makes no references to the differences in the colors between auras and chakras -- red in your chakra does not mean the same thing as red in your aura. The best I can say for her chakra knowledge is that she knows some of the basic locations. She has some insight, but it's hard to sift the wheat from the chaff, and her information is unreliable. For her information on how the chakras influence various aspects of your life, some of it is clearly just wrong.Another glaring omission is the fact that all objects and plants (and sometimes spaces) have auras. MacFarlane neglects this entirely, ignoring the fact that the auras of one's clothing change the aura colors of one's person. I doubt she has truly seen those auras for herself. If you can get past the shortcomings, some of the content is otherwise worthwhile. This book would be much better without mentioning auras or chakras. She makes some excellent points about relationships and healing, in a way that really reaches the reader. MacFarlane demonstrates a profound insight into human nature and relationships. The anecdotes are interesting and useful, and the exercises are potentially very worthwhile. Some of the stories and exercises can really open your mind and illustrate issues that need work in your own life. If this is what you're looking for, it's worth reading. If you seek information on chakras, I strongly recommend Joy's Way (with a grain of salt). It's preachy and patronizing, but the chakra content is superb." Publisher: Citadel | More reviews: amazon.com
